MUKC Membership Renewal
Its mid-2021 now, and you know what that means… Its time to renew your membership!
The registrations have been opened and can be found in Unione. To register, head on over to our webpage and select the blue button labelled “Join or Renew”, then follow the on-screen instructions.

VKC 2021 Registration
Registrations for this year’s VKC are now open! It will be held over two days, 14 and 15 August in Victoria University. You can register at this link: https://vkr.ecwid.com/Victorian-Kendo-Championships-c35216158
If you will be competing in a team, please contact one of the committee members so we can register you as a team. If you are participating in the individuals, please register yourself at the link above. COVID-19 and the VKC
The VKR is developing a COVID-safe plan for the upcoming VKC and taking into account different potential COVID restriction scenarios. Depending on the COVID restrictions (if any) in force at the time of the competition, competitors and attendees are advised that the following MAY apply:
- All attendees, shinpan, volunteers and officials: mask covering nose and mouth mandatory.
- Competitors not in full bogu (e.g. Kata): mask covering nose and mouth mandatory.
- Competitors in full bogu:
- Full men face shield & mask covering mouth, OR
- Half men face shield & mask covering nose and mouth.
The VKR will provide more detailed COVID-safe guidelines prior to the event. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
Nippon Sport Science Seminar and Kendo Jidai
Kendo Jidai in partnership with the Nippon Sport Science University will conduct a 2nd Online Kendo Seminar on Saturday 17 July at 2pm Melbourne time. Further details are available here: https://kendojidai.com/2021/07/04/nittaidai-seminar-2/
VKR members who are interested in participating should pay and register directly with Kendo Jidai.This session will involve exercises with other people so you may consider participating as a group.
The Melbourne Budokai will be participating together at the Kenshikan. If any VKR members are interested they are welcome to join MBK at the Kenshikan. Please arrive at Kenshikan at 1.30pm and ensure you comply with COVID protocols. If you have any questions about attending the Kenshikan please contact [email protected]
