Weekly MUKC update – Week 10

Lockdown Continues

Here’s a quick update on what’s changing due to the current lockdown.
Quick summary from what the VKR has announced:

1. Kendo gradings will not be held in October, meaning there will not be any Dan gradings for this year. Kyu gradings are unlikely to be held in November based on the Covid Roadmap.

2. The VKR normally conducts an Iaido/Jodo Grading at the end of November. The VKR will confirm whether this will go ahead in the coming weeks depending on the COVID situation.

3. Based on the current Covid Roadmap plan for restrictions, which has not yet been finalised, indoor community recreation/sport venues may require that only vaccinated members can train or attend venues. We’ll send out more info as it becomes available.

4. The VKR will be conducting a voluntary anonymous vaccination survey. This will be sent out by the VKR to all members that are 18 or older.

MUKC 30th Anniversary

Due to the current situation with lockdown and the Covid Roadmap, the decision has been made to postpone the 30th Anniversary. We will let you know more as time goes on and decisions are made.
